John 4:35-36

"Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit until life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together"... John 4:35-36

Mail Service

Whether you're handwriting or using a computer Elder Nellesen will be eager to hear from you.  He will be very busy so if you do not hear from him immediately please be patient...after all he is in Africa.

Please remember to keep your letters positive, upbeat, encouraging, informative but short on the bad news, and remember he's missing out on your life milestones and would like to hear about them.  Also please keep the "I miss you so much" to a minimum.  He will be homesick and already knows that we all miss him...let's not remind him.

He will be permitted to email his family once a week.  To keep everyone updated the letters will be publicized under the "letter" tab for your to read.  We are also hoping for photos via emails but if not we will be mailing photo memory cards back and forth so watch for photos.  We're all excited to see Africa through Dustin's eyes.

Pouch Mail:
Family and Friends are invited to use the pouch mail system.  The Church provides pouch mail service for this mission.  Items sent by pouch mail use the United States Postal Service (USPS) from your location to Church headquarters, where they are forwarded to the missionary by a private courier along with other Church mail.  Pouch mail leaves Church headquarters each Friday.  Items received after the pouch has been sent will be held for the next week.  Only postcards or one page correspondences (no envelopes) written on one side of the page may be sent through the pouch.  Notebook or other light-weight paper will not process through the USPS machines.  Photographs are not acceptable.
Items restricted from the pouch may be sent through the USPS or a private courier.

Items not complying with the following instructions will be returned to the sender.

Pouch Mail Letter Folding Instructions:
Letter folding instructions: Lay the letter blank side down.  Fold the bottom of the letter about one-third of the way up the page and crease.  Fold the top of the letter to the bottom of the first fold and crease.  Secure the long side with two pieces of tape about one inch in from each end, but do not seal the ends.  In the top left corner write your name and complete return address.  Affix first class postage in the top right corner.  In the middle write the missionary address as follows:

Dustin Allen Nellesen
Zimbabwe Harare Mission
POB 30150
Salt Lake City, UT 84130-0150

Pouch Mail may also be send using http://www.dearelder.com/index/.  It is a free service for the Zimbabwe mission and is done via email.  Dear Elder actually is a middle man who does the work for you.

Mailing Packages:
All packages should be sent to the mission office.  When sending packages with a private courier, a telephone number at the destination is required.  Please do not attempt to contact Elder Nellesen at this number at anytime during his mission.

We've found that mailing USPS flat rate is the most economical way to ship.  We've also found that local shipping businesses will charge up to and exceeding an additional $20 depending on the size etc. on top of the rates the actual post office will charge you.  The most economical way to ship is to go directly to the post office.

Some of these packages take weeks to months or may never get there.

The following address may be used to send packages to the mission office:

Elder Dustin Allen Nellesen
Zimbabwe Harare Mission
65 Enterprise Road
Highlands
Harare
Zimbabwe
Telephone 263 4-776-359

http://www.dearelder.com/index/ also offers packages that can be shipped to Zimbabwe for a fee.  Easy click of the button.
