John 4:35-36

"Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit until life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together"... John 4:35-36

May 14, 2012

We were able to do an audio conference call via Skype on Mother's Day with Dustin and our family.  It was so good to talk to him and hear his voice.  He is doing so well and sounds happy and content.  He has a slight accent but still sounds like the good old Dustin we all know and love.  We can talk to him again on Christmas day; only 7 months and 12 days to wait!

Because we just talked to him he didn't send a letter this week.

He did tell us that as a branch activity they will be killing a goat and about 20 chickens.  He also said a couple of phrases in another language for us...I can't repeat them.  He is on an english speaking mission.  In Domboshawa most of the people speak Shona.

Also in that area he told us that very few people have electricity.  He is close to a member there that helps them translate who is a brick maker.  Dustin has helped haul the dirt to make the bricks.  He also said that they will be building a grass hut.  What a different way of life this young man is leading in Africa.

Dustin said it's about 80 degrees there and they are going into winter.  It's a different kind of cold for him because of the humidity.

He is healthy, safe and happy.
He sent some new pictures.
We have to delete older photos to add new ones to the blog.
